"Colonoscopy"

About: North Tyneside General Hospital

My husband has just had a colonoscopy here and I was advised to pick him in 2 hours. After almost 3 hours I hadn't heard anything but he soon appeared.I would have appreciated being informed that he had been having slight problems so would have been longer than anticipated rather than left worrying in the waiting room.I had the same procedure in Hexham 3days previously and my husband was bought straight in when I was back in the department.

Dear Madam,

I'm sorry - I can fully understand why you were concerned and agree we could have avoided this for you by letting you know. Our teams really do appreciate all feedback they receive from patients and families so I will be sure to pass this on.

I hope all other aspects of his care were excellent. Thanks for being part of helping us to continually improve.

with all best wishes,

Annie
