"Follow up appointments months overdue"

I was seen in Opthalmology 14th Sept 2015 and i was told i would have to have a follow up appointment in 2 months and i would be getting an appointment letter.No appointment came so i phoned them 12 noon some weeks back and i could have attended an appointment at 3pm that day but it was not convenient.I have since phoned them and i am told i cannot get an appointment until January 2016 as i do not warrant an earlier appointment but it is not earlier it is late and i am suffering.I was given medication in September for 2 months duration but now i am having to resort to my GP practice but they sent me to the hospital in the first place because they cannot do anything for me.Our NHS is shocking and the longer treatment is left the longer it takes to treat it so no gains and i can see why the NHS is going broke.
