I would like to thank the CCU nursing team and the Cardiology Team for the excellent patient care I received during my stay in CCU in late November 2015.

One day nurse treated me like a friend rather than a patient & this was refreshing as it helped me to keep my mind of my treatment. The nurse is an excellent nurse with good interpersonal skills. thank you.

One day nurse arranged for me to get a newspaper to read as CCU does not have televisions. thank you

One day nurse helped me to stay focused on my recovery and upbeat despite my predicament. The nurse too has excellent patient interpersonal skills.

The Night nurse is an excellent professional nurse with a keen attention to detail. The nurse provided the best patient care I have ever received in hospital. A model professional, attention to patient needs and totally focused on their patient. I feel the nurse set the high standards required of any nurse. The nurse was focused on my care and gave me confidence I was in the best care with them around. The nurse liaised with the staff well, advised on my recovery needs and reassured me as a patient. I thank the nurse whole heartedly & wish them every success in their career. The nurse is the perfect model of good practice for all hospital nursing staff.

The Cardiology Team was first class during my stay, they brought me back to life when I had my cardiac arrest. All the team were very professional and aware of my condition and recovery plan and paid attention to both my physical & mental wellbeing during my stay in CCU.

The in patient CCU is in the new wing of the hospital which provides excellent patient care. Despite the noise of monitors and bleeps the staff are very reassuring during your most vulnerable time in hospital. The wing does need a television as it can get very boring if like me you are there for more than a few days.

The food is basic however if you are in CCU the food is the last thing on your mind. Diet is very important while your in CCU so I would recommend a dietician is appointed to the unit to advise on patients food while they are their.

As this unit is made up of St Barts & the former London Chest Hospital staff it provides excellent in cardiac care.

I wish to thank all the staff involved in my recovery during my stay also the cleaning staff for ensuring the excellent cleanliness of CCU.
