"Great Job"

Took quite a few weeks to finally get an appointment at Pinderfields Hospital in Wakefield. Attended the Plastic Sugery unit there for an operation on my hand.

Although it took all afternoon to get to the operating theatre I have to say that the staff were fantastic. They are friendly, they listen and were always professional. Sorry that I cannot remember everyone's names but the nurses put me at ease straight away. The surgeon was the same person who diagnosed my problem in the first place and talked me through everything I needed to know and what the risks might be. Although minor this was my first operation so I was very nervous but the team in the operating theatre soon put me at rest.

After the op I was handed back to nursing where they offered me a drink and something to eat whilst they kept an eye on me. I was talked through how to look after the wound and the surgeon came back to make sure everything was ok before I was discharged.

Thanks to the team at Pinderfields for looking after a very nervous patient and for fixing me up.
