"A review of my mothers recent admission to Ward..."

About: Huddersfield Royal Infirmary

My mum is an 84 year old lady who has complex medical needs. Recently she was admitted from Calderdale to Huddersfield because of a rather complex medical condition.

She was treated with kindness, consideration, dignity and respect throughout her stay and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. In fact all of the staff from the consultants to the nursing / healthcare staff were fantastic. I and my family were also looked after on our visits with hot tea and occasionally sandwiches offered, gratefully accepted after arriving on the ward sometimes at unsocial hours.

I believe the professionalism of these people does make a difference and the whole of my family is testament to this. I shall be writing a letter commenting on my appreciation to the ward manager and to the customer services unit in Acre street.

The NHS is safe, well and in very good hands in Huddersfield. Thank you from mum to all on Ward 9 Female SAU.
