"Exceptional care and compassion"

A close colleague was admitted to A&E yesterday evening having suffered what proved to be a fatal aneurysm to the brain. We cannot praise highly enough the level of care from the paramedics and ambulance staff who arrived at the scene, to the accident and emergency staff who did everything they could to stabilise her condition and the amazing consultants and nurses who showed such skill and compassion in the intensive care unit.

At all times we were kept clearly informed, had our questions answered and watched a tragic situation being handled with real sensitivity and dignity. Thank you to all those involved at the hospital - you are doing a fantastic job and have rekindled our faith in the NHS.
