I attended the walk in service on Monday 16th November at about 11am thaving fasted as required. I was due to have lipids test (for my cholesterol level).
The wait was acceptable.
The most important thing that went wrong is that the nurse took sample which was tested for glucose level. They did not test for cholesterol. So that's a wasted hour or so plus my drive there and back and fasting.
I now have to sort this over again.
I'm now not surprised that they messed up as their manner was really odd.
No smile. No warm words. Simply, "Ready?" And then jab. In went the needle.
I almost laughed out loud.
As a regular blood donor it didn't unduly upset me, but that is hardly the point. Really strange.
And now they have compounded that.
My memory tells me it was cubicle 7 but I may be wrong.
Not impressed at all. Let's hope my cholesterol levels haven't gone high over the last year.. As I now have to start again!
In form below what is your blood service called?
I've put down haematology
"Wrong blood test and manner of nurse"
