"entirely depends on department"

About: Southampton General Hospital

different departments the hospital doctors seem happy to let someone leave with pneumothoraxes that are symptomatic with no respiratory review, follow up or written advice. I looked up the British Thoracic Guidelines and unless altered, this demonstrates lack of awareness within the trust amongst clinicians of guidelines. Safe? Responsible? Satisfactory?

I am sorry that you believe your treatment to have been inconsistent and at odds with the guidelines. It would be helpful if you would contact patientsupportservices@uhs.nhs.uk or Tel. 023 81206325 with you details and we can make contact with the relevant team to address your concern.
