"Insulting"

About: Peterlee Community Hospital

I saw a doctor at Peterlee Hospital Pain Management service due to chronic pain. They examined me in a very rough manner, which exacerbated my pain. They also told me under no circumstances did I have a severe condition like CFS/fibromyalgia.

Less than 6 months later I visited a rheumatologist at Durham University Hospital and have a confirmed diagnosis of Fibromyalgia. Needless to say this left me with zero faith in the pain management services at this hospitalL

I have had around 3 appointments with the pain management service this year at Peterlee, I have not been offered any therapies or coping strategies for my condition. I was sent away with a leaflet.
