i visited accident and emergency as a patient on 29/11/15. as a nurse i understand the pressures the staff are under on a daily basis and the misuse of the system, i fully expected to be waiting a long time..how wrong i was following triage i was taken for bloods ecg etc , then a short time later was taken by a lovely hca to the aec, there i had a chest xray. i was then lucky enough to be seen by the consultant endocrinologist i have previously seen in clinic ( this was a sunday..take note Jeremy Hunt ). following a consultation i was prescibed a change of meds and further test as an out patient ..i was telephoned that evening by a dr to inform me of my blood results and called to the department the following day to pick up a prescription..i can honestly say the service and care i recieved was exeptional..i moved seamlessly through the system. this is obviously a condensed version of events and unfortunately i do not know the staff members names to mention them individually as all where polite , pleasant and smiling explaining to me fully what was being done. i know what it feels like to always hear the negativity surrounding the nhs and sometimes you must feel that you are swimming through treacle. so i felt i had to commend your service and dedication .. keep up the good work
