About: Peterborough City Hospital

was upset having gone forday surgery arrived at 7 30 my op wasnot until 4 in the afternoon no drink no food surely I could have been admitted in the afternoon I was very distressed by the time I was operated on and was told I was dehydrated not surprised

I am sorry that there was a delay in you receiving your surgery. Times for starving patients are worked out to ensure that the patient’s safety remains a priority. Normally patients who are starved from midnight would be operated on in the morning however in this case there was a delay for which I would like to apologise.
