About: University Hospital Of Hartlepool

(as the patient),

Anything else?

I am writing on behalf on my grandmother. She was admitted for an operation and at some point we gather she experienced hallucinations. As she left hospital she made an effort to say bye to all of the nurses, and as she did say two of them laughed at her. She asked what was so funny but they replied "nothing". We THINK it was to do with the hallucinations, however replying "nothing" made her very uneasy.

Dear Norah - we’re sorry if your grandmother felt uneasy after the way she was spoken to by two of our nurses. This does not sound like the behaviour we’d expect from our staff and for that we apologise. We hope your grandmother is making a good recovery.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a comment on NHS Choices.
