My mum was admitted as an emergency, she had extremely low blood count and very anaemic. She had X-rays, scans, endoscopy - the lot!
The staff at the hospital from A and E through to the ward and after discharge from there, the follow up procedure in endoscopy and the ACU were absolutely brilliant.
The staff spoke to mum about what was happening and explained procedures. This goes a long way to helping patients feel at ease as much as is possible. The doctors were very considerate and explained very clearly what the procedures were for and what they were looking for.
The doctor in the ACU, when seeing mum for the results, was very respectful and made sure that mum was reassured and satisfied with the results.
Throughout the whole episode we have been very satisfied with every aspect of mum's care. Thank you all!
