(as a relative),

My elderly mother had a fall and cut her leg open quite badly. I called for an ambulance and they came and put some dry dressing on it and a bandage and left. The bandage fell down to her ankle straight away. The blood soon soaked through the dressing, and so I called 111. They sent out a paramedic who arrived 45 minutes after called Dominic. He said it looks like she needs stitches and rather than taking her to A&E he called a colleague named Kevin who came to her house and did a marvelous job and stitched her leg up. He even tested her water and her chest, she had an infection and he had medication to give her.

I’m so appreciative of both of them. They didn’t want her to have to sit and wait in hospital for hours so did what they could to avoid that. They did a really wonderful job. I thought it was about time somebody said how good they are.

I’m unsure of Kevin’s role but there should be more Kevin’s out there on the road.
