I went into BIshop Auckland Urgent Care Unit with chest pains in my right side and I'm also 18 weeks pregnant. The doctor or nurse never checked my notes or took any details of my medical history. I am currently classed as a high risk pregnancy and they did not care to know this. I was ask to go to Darlington memorial hospital to ward 14 to have further test. When I got to the ward I was surprised that being pregnant did not eliminate me from a mix sex ward and a ward for mainly elderly persons. Is this acceptable? After taking bloods I was left for more than one hour with any further assessment or doctor checking on me. I am moving my care to a different hospital after this frightening experience as I fear for my life and unborn child. My baby has not even been checked over to confirm all is well. Nurses on the ward state they cannot do any maternity based care, so why was I placed in the ward?
"Poor and absolutely disgraceful care"
