"Great medical staff but chaotic and short staffed"

About: Scunthorpe General Hospital

Having an appointment at ENT , , I arrived about 60 mins before my appointment intending to have coffee, However it was impossible to park in the car parks and there were lots of people driving round looking for a place to park. I am disabled so the park and ride is not possible. Eventually I made my way to the ENT floor and it was chaos , so many people waiting to check in that I could not get out of the lift,. I had to wait over 25 mins just to check in . One poor receptionist with no help and they were new to the department too. This receptionist was very efficient and friendly but the workload was crazy, despite the queue, they still had nursing staff coming to request labels and to want them now. Please give the this receptionist a big pat on the back. However once checked in the clinic was running over 1 hour late which we were informed about , I eventually was seen almost 2 hours after my appointment time. Medical consultation was fine well handled and explained and I was well satisfied with my treatment. But the hospital really needs to address patient parking and checking in.
