"I'm pleased I came along to the centre"

I started coming to the day centre about 5 years ago after my hip replacement. I wasn’t as able as I used to be and my social worker suggested it. I use a walking frame to get around now, I bought it myself as I didn’t feel confident with my stick.

I hesitated initially about the centre but I’m pleased I came along. I enjoy coming as I’m normally home alone. My daughter visits every day but it’s still a long day.

Staff at the centre are very nice, very helpful. They really are excellent.

Meals are good, I enjoy them

I enjoy the activities like bingo and name that tune. We do quizzes, I’m not that clever at those but they’re good, it makes me think. The staff also read out the newspaper which keeps us up to date with what’s going on.
