"Pharmacy Department lets patients down today"

About: Charing Cross Hospital

We are patients in the Oncology Day Suite on 15th floor where delays in the Pharmacy Dept delivering the necessary controlled drug prescriptions has meant patients waiting several hours for their chemotherapy to be administered. The knock on effect in terms of additional stress, anxiety and lost time is unacceptable and really effects patients on all levels. Emotionally and practically. It cannot be good for patient morale or for the marvellous nurses who are doing their best to care for their patients in very difficult circumstances.
