"Womens Health Depart - No one seems to be..."

About: Hereford County Hospital

I did hesitate in writing this review due to fact i didn't want the staff to be implicated, however I cannot get over on various visits how un-organised women's health seems to be.

My last appointment was for 10.00am, on my name being called and the time it took me to walk to the nurse, a consultant had pinched the room off us - so then the nurse had to apologies and i had another 10 minutes of waiting for the room to be empty, this carried on as once we were in the room the poor nurse didn't want to give the room up (despite the interuption of other desperate staff in needing it) I then waited another 20 minutes for the consultant to appear only it was't the consultant it was another junior instead.

I don't think my overall care/treatment is in doubt but, what sort of system do they have in place , surely if you only have two rooms to use, one should be for nurses/midwifes to do blood pressure, bloods, urine etc and then the other is kept for just the consultant to use constantly, this keeps everything flowing.

The reception staff look like they are constantly taking flack for this dept organisation or lack of it.

Previous visits i waited over 1 hour before being seen and similar when have had 20 week scan.

Its not the waiting part but witnessing the dis-organisation.

Car parking is also tricky as i only had 2 hours on my ticket and so ended up running out of the place so i wouldn't incur a fine.

There seems to be plenty of staff walking around but not dealing with patients.

Get rid of the management in this dept its clearly not functioning , I and other members of my family have had excellent treatment in other dept of this hospital and all done with less waste on the system.
