My partner and myself visited the minor injuries unit due to the severe pain my partner was in. When we got there and described the symptoms we were then ridiculed, patronised, rushed and one of the two nurses then even jokingly insinuated that the cause of the pain was domestic abuse.
The discussion took place in a corridor while all the while the cleaner was listening in and even inputting into the discussion at times, leaving no confidentiality and no privacy at all. One of the nurses in particular did not take us seriously at all, perhaps because we were younger. They rushed is, rolled their eyes many times, performed no checks, and was incredibly rude and dismissive to my partner.
Even though the symptoms we described are directly stated on the minor injuries at Vale website as being able to help with, the nurses were adamant that nothing could be done and appeared to rush us out so that they could leave early (we arrived quite close to the closing time of minor injuries).
They took none of my partners symptoms seriously, gave no adequate time to describe, performed no checks and simply dismissive of someone that was quite obviously in so much pain they were close to tears.
The whole experience left us feeling embarrassed, hurt, and ridiculed. Do not visit this place unless you want to feel childish and pathetic, the staff should be ashamed of themselves.
Would not recommend to anyone, ever.
"Rude, disgusting, patronising behaviour"
