"Quick, considerate and excellent quality care"

I attended the One Day Unit for multiple tooth extraction under general anaesthetic. The staff were friendly, thorough and professional throughout. My details were checked, double-checked, and triple-checked, whilst the surgical team held a team brief beforehand, all of which put me completely at ease.

I was given clear explanatory talks by the nurse, anaesthetist, and dental surgeon, so I was fully aware as to how the operation would proceed. In this I was closely involved in the decision-making process, with risks given due consideration.

There were only two operations going on that afternoon, and so I was ready for the procedure sooner than expected, despite arriving early. Aftercare was explained clearly, and discharge was prompt, attentive, and friendly.

The operation went very smoothly and I have had no issues in the three weeks since. I can only thank the One Day Unit surgical team for their efforts and wholeheartedly recommend them for others considering similar procedures.

The only downside are those surgical gowns... they feel unchanged since the '50s!
