What I liked

I have only praise for the speed and care that was taken over my condition and subsequent admission to Rotary Suite.

Following a consultation with an emergency Doctor on Sunday evening I was given an appointment to see the ENT Consultant on Rotary Suite on the Tuesday morning. On arrival staff were helpful and polite. One of the team offered a pillow to support my head whilst I was waiting to see the Dr. The doors were also held open as staff could see that I was in pain. Following my consultation one of the Drs went to the scanning dept to organise an ultrasound scan. I was amazed to find that my scan was on the same afternoon. I was told that I might have to wait as I had been 'squeezed in' but this was not the case. A subsequent appointment was arranged for the following day. Again the ward staff were friendly and helpful. It was decided that I should be admitted. A room was available and a CT scan was arranged within two hours. From my experience of other hospitals this was an incredible response. Within an hour of my CT scan treatment had been sorted and commenced. I can only praise the efficiency and support of all the staff that I encountered in the Rotary Suite and scanning departments.

What could be improved

My only negative experience was the car parking. On each visit it was impossible to park the car and hence I attended the appointments alone whilst my chauffeur drove round the hospital.
