"Revision Knee Surgery"

About: University Hospital Ayr / Trauma & orthopaedics

(as the patient),

After a knee replacement at Kilmarnock Crosshouse Hospital, I was admitted to Ayr University Hospital for revision surgery due to infection, under the care of Mr Dearing and all of his team. After two painful operations to rectify the earlier mistake, I am now pain free and forever grateful to Ayr Hospital staff and Mr Dearing himself for their great quality of care.

I respond initially to most of the posts and ensure they are passed to the appropriate team whether they are compliments, observations or grumbles. It is important to make sure all issues are addressed and I try to encourage that to happen for all the posts as required.

Dear Mary H,

I am so sorry your initial care was problematic but it is good news that you are now on the way to recovery under the care you received from Mr Dearing. I will pass this to the teams involved in your care to let them know your feelings. Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your care.

I hope you are well recovered now.

best wishes,

Eunice
