They say angels dwell in heaven,
But where is Heaven?
Broken body refuses to serve.
The ambulance paramedics cell,
The mans strong arm to lean on
And the pretty girl both in green uniform.
At the rehab are many to welcome,
Each different, unique but in Grace uniform:
By decorum in conduct
Refinement in acquiescence,
Kind, selfless, all caring…
But this is no jargon of descent
The caring compassionate place,
A social club seemingly, dominoes,
The humour cards to amuse in place,
In between tea, coffee and biscuits.
I espy Frank Sinatra of yesteryear,
The manager I am told
Opp! I digressed to yesteryear,
But who are the angels? Where are they?
At the caring compassionate place,
All focused on the same thing,
To repair the broken body,
There the angels are
