I had a total hip replacement on 9th November 2015 and feel compelled to write this review.
I arrived at Ward D and was immediately welcomed by the nurse who was looking after me. My husband was able to stay with me in the day room for a while as we as a family had had a traumatic week before. Members of staff treated us both with respect and compassion.
I was taken to theatre at 3pm and prepped by an amazing team. I opted to stay awake and at all times was kept calm by the anaesthetists.
After recovery was taken to ward 5 and was looked after so well by all the staff. Nothing was too much for them. They were kind and explained everything to me. I stayed on the ward for 4 nights and would like to thank all staff in the hospital: the surgeons and team, nurses and assistants and the catering staff. I am now at home recovering but think Wrightington is a very special hospital. Well done to all, I am very grateful for you giving me a positive experience.
