About: Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital

We took my 83 year old mother to A&E with chest pains where she received excellent care by a team of very efficient and kind nurses and Doctors. They were very respectful of an elderly lady. We could not fault her treatment and would like to thank the staff. We were very impressed by our first visit to this new hospital.

I am delighted that you are very impressed with the new hospital. I know emergency care has been extremely busy of late so it's comforting to know that staff are our providing care with kindness and compassion - respecting the needs of older people matters a great deal to us as an organisation - I am so glad we got it spot on for you and your Mum.
