"Urology department, cancelled appointment, no treatment or help"

About: Castle Hill Hospital / Urology

(as the patient),

September 2014 I was diagnosed with retroperitoneal fibrosis which I received stents in both tubes into my kidneys. All I was told was I would need them changed every 6 months. I thought that was the solution to the problem but I then started to get kidney infections one after another most needing hospital treatment. Every time I was admitted I never saw my consultant I was treated for the infection and sent home. On my last admission in September 2015 my infection meant I was weeing blood all the time no one seemed concerned and I was told I would get an appointment to see my consultant.

After nagging for several weeks I got an appointment for December nearly 3 months after my last admission I am still weeing blood have pain a fever and fatigue to name a few symptoms my doctor says wait for the consultant. Now I have received a letter cancelling my appointment and moving it to the very end of December.

What do I do? No one seems to care if I go to a&e they will treat the symptoms and send me home how do I get a fix for this problem before my kidneys stop working?

In the year I have been under castle Hill urology care I have seen a consultant once.

I know they are busy but what do I do?
