About: University Hospital Monklands / General Surgery (Wards 4 & 7)

(as the patient),

I was in recently for a knee operation for a meniscus tear, and it was a fantastic experience from the arrival to going home later in the day. The whole team were fantastic, kind, and reassuring. I have never been in hospital before for an operation and was nervous about it, but if I ever have to go again it won't bother me half as much after this experience. Thank you so much folks and I hope you are all told about this! ! ! ! !

Thank you for taking the time to post your Patient Opinion of the Day Surgery Unit at

Monklands Hospital.

The staff recognise that having a procedure undertaken can be a very anxious time for patients and the importance of ensuring patients are well informed and to reduce stress levels and aid recovery.
