Heaven help anyone in Newcastle who thinks they can rely on the Dental Hosptal for help with a dental emrgency on a Friday afternnon. I had a tooth which had loosened when I bit on some hard food in the early afternoon. It was extremeely painful so I sought some treatment. My usual dentist has moved away from Gosforth and I don't have a replacemnt yet. Before leaving home I looked at this web page but found no details about opening times. I wanted to get to the Hospital as soon as possible and got a taxi from Gosforth. The trip cost £8.50. On arrival at 4pm i was told I couldn't be seen. They didn't see anyone after 3.30 pm! None of this information is included on this website. Would you not think that such vital information would be displayed prominently where someone experiencing a dental emergency could see it?
So as i write this on friday evening
I stiil have my tooth and toothache, and am £8 out of pocket and expereinced a wasted , fruitless journey to no avail. What kind of service do you call that, Newcastle dental Hospital?
