I have just returned from Leighton Hospital following a stress echocardiogram.
I arrived early for my appointment, but after only a few minutes wait, my name was called.
When I was shown into the treatment room I was initially quite nonplussed to see three members of staff there.
I need not have worried!
Each member of staff introduced themselves by name, explained everything very clearly as things went along and were very alert about my wellbeing throughout.
The main reason for my writing, however, is to say how I was treated with such dignity ... every attempt was made to cover me as often as possible during the procedure and nothing was done or said that gave me the slightest cause for embarrassment.
I came home feeling for the first time at a hospital appointment that I had been treated as a real person with feelings rather than a "case file".
Thank you to those concerned.
"Treated like a real person"
