About: West Mendip Community Hospital

I went to the MIU first thing on a Sunday morning with a suspected sprained ankle. The staff and nurse were welcoming and reassuring. I was bandaged, given good advice and medication for being at home and advised to return on Monday for an X Ray. I did this. I waited for only under 2 hours, was seen by a nurse, had a prompt X Ray, and after discussing the result with me to see the X Ray myself, was given the all clear. The information was concise and comprehensive and I understood fully the extent of the injury. I cannot praise the unit and the staff too highly. Courtesy and kindness was evident. Excellent nursing. Well done. I am pleased to have this facility on my doorstep in Wells.
