"Help is at Hand"

About: Cheshire And Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust / Child and adolescent mental health Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust

(as the patient),

I am only 15 years old at the moment, last year I was diagnosed by the guys at CWP with depression. What they could not find was the reasoning, so to their credit they managed to dig out a reason that may be related to it. They discovered what was actually the issue and treated me for it.

However, since this, there have been many communication/organisational issues throughout the time seeing the CAMHS team. There was one occasion where the guy I was seeing had double booked himself after failing to write down the appointments properly. They then chose to pass me on to the Community Paediatric team from the local hospital trust. The referral to these people took absolutely ages, and when he eventually managed to make it, the appointment was given to me a long distance away instead of just down the road from my home.

Other than that, the guys at CAMHS with CWP have been absolutely critical in helping me get through what was a completely horrible situation when from a personal point-of-view, I didn't see myself as being around to this day. These guys kept on showing me the way forward and have now got me completely through all of my issues, so I can now get my GCSE's without the difficulties I had this time last year.

So I have to give so much thanks to them, they have saved my life.
