On Saturday 14th November I had a short loss of memory while working due to extreme stress. Obviously I feared I might of had a slight stroke - I was otherwise ok.
After calling 111 it was arranged for me to go to St Mark's Hospital, Maidenhead (a fantastic hospital) and I was seen after not too long a wait by a doctor. The doctor referred me to Wycombe Stroke Unit for an appointment at 12.30 the next day - Sunday. There, they gave me an MRI scan, an ECG, blood pressure check and took a blood sample - all in about 4 hours.
I was attended to by a specialist stroke doctor, who fortunately said after studying the results of my tests they were pretty sure I had not in fact had a stroke but a temporary loss of memory due to extreme stress.
All the staff were efficient, friendly and obviously knew what they were doing. But most of all I am incredibly impressed that I had such fast efficient attention.
I am the first to complain when I get bad service but I think it's equally important to praise a team when they are doing a great job.
Brilliant service.
"Fantastic service at Stroke Clinic"
