"Appointments with doctor keep getting cancelled"

About: Lister Hospital

Hi there

I'm feeling a bit frustrated because more often than not my appointments in endocrinology for my diabetes keep getting cancelled. I haven't kept the data but only the minority actually turn into real appointments and the last one I went to in October had been cancelled, and a new one arranged, without me hearing of either. The replacement has now itself been cancelled and at least I have been informed of that so I can make work plans.

Why is this please? Is it that there are just too many patients and I am being deprioritised?

I particularly want to discuss something with my doctor as they adjusted my medication earlier in the summer, and needs to see the effect this has had (we were going to review 3 months later). The diabetes nurses on the team are super-helpful and very flexible about seeing me if I have a worry but I do need to see the doctor as well.

Hope you can shed some light. Many thanks.
