"Ridgeway Ward"

About: Chesterfield Royal Hospital

I was admitted to the hospital in considerable discomfort and pain but immediately was dealt with on the EMU wards. A diificult evening came and the following day I was admitted to the Ridgeay ward where I was to spend 2 weeks receiving treatment. It was the amazing staff who worked here that made my somewhat slow recovery more bearable, they at all times spent time with me (sometimes when I was very low) and knew when to leave me alone. All the staff were amazing, hard working and kind hearted and it is down to them that my stay at the Royal was not such a difficult one. I would love to mention them all by name but hope this e-mail is shared with them so they will know who they are, and for them to know how very grateful I was for their care and understanding.

Thank you for your kind comments, which I make sure are shared with the Ridgeway Ward team.

I am sure they will be delighted to read that during the two weeks your spent in hospital that you felt well-cared and supported.

It sounds as though you've had a difficult time with a medical emergency and I do hope you are making a good recovery.

Kind regards Sarah Turner-Saint, head of communications
