My mother was a patient in ward 8a for over 4 weeks before being transferred to ward 54 for rehabilitation.
The level of care was second to none and all the staff from doctors and ward sister to domestic have restored my faith in the caring profession. The ward sister Colette went above and beyond the care of duty in what was a very busy ward with extremely sick patients and kept me informed of all of the treatments my mother was receiving. As my mother had an injury to her spinal cord and had to wear a neck brace, washing her hair was almost an impossibility but with staff like Angela n and a bank care assistant by the name of Amy, this was possible and I can't emphasise enough the difference it made to my mother. Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone in ward 8a and keep up the excellent work.
