Firstly getting through to someone via switchboard/receptionist

Start telephone call promptly 8: 00am – busy signal! Busy signal continues for 1 ½ hours. I finally hang up!

Telephone in PM, phone rings; machine answering that” all our receptionists are currently busy” (this was continuous for 45 mins). Finally got through to receptionist. The above is par for the course in order to get an appointment with a doctor. When you do see a doctor there is no problem but a problem arises if you want to see the same doctor again in connection with your illness (of the last visit). You cannot name a doctor you want to see, because I was told they are Locums.
