"Eye Clinic Department Treatment"

About: The Tunbridge Wells Hospital

I visited this hospital for the first time on 11th November for problems with my eyesight.

For the previous six months at least my eyesight had got worse.

I chose to go to Tunbridge Wells because the waiting list for an appointment was far better than my local hospital at East Surrey. The consultant confirmed that I needed laser treatment following a cataract operation I had in 2013. The consultant said that their clinic was full for that day but because I had come a long way if I was prepared to wait till the end of their clinic they would deal with the laser treatment that day.

I was absolutely delighted.

The whole department, including the charge nurse, 'was very friendly and caring.

The consultant returned to see me several times whilst I was waiting and duly completed the treatment.

I am so pleased that I can see to drive again and also read the newspaper.

Please thank them so much on my behalf.

Penny Sly

Dear Ms Sly, thank you for taking the time to leave feedback on the care and treatment you received from the ophthalmology department.

We were delighted to read your kind comments and have passed your thanks on to the team.

Kind regards, The PALS Team.
