"Visiting the Elderly"

Complaint

My daughter has just been to visit her grandmother this morning 13th November 2015, she was unaware of the visiting times on the unit, and subjected to rudeness from the staff on the unit, literally told off

The consultant has informed my family that my mother will probably die in her sleep quite soon, so why put family through more distress when they about to lose a loved one.

It would have perhaps been better to have just told her to come back at the visiting times rather than subjecting her to the upset she is now experiencing, she was sobbing down the phone to me.

Totally bad patient/family care at a very distressing time.
