What I liked
The care and support I received from everyone,from consultant to ancillary staff.I spent on and off a period of six months here after various complications yet I can not fault any the staff. The hospital is set in beautiful grounds and spent many hours looking out across the garden and admiring the architecture of the building.I will always remember this hospital. In 2007 my sister in law died in this hospital and a year later I was in Leander Ward. Of course there were days I was really fearful and utterly depressed. There was a time I thought I would be joining my Sister in Law. Now my memories of her still haunt me and will do forever. But my love,yes love for this hospital will never waiver. Thank you Leander Ward,HCU,Theatre staff,everyone.
What could be improved
The food especially in the Summer of 2008 was vile...sorry. Started to get slightly better or maybe because I was in hospital for so long I got used to it!
Anything else?
I do hope LCH will remain in Bethnal Green and not get swallowed up in end up in Whitechapel.There is a real charm about LCH don't let it die. I will always remember and love this place.
