"Carers are lovely but not happy with organisation of my care"

All the carers I have are lovely but I’m not happy with how my care is organised. I would like to have the same girls coming to my house. I understand that carers have days off, are sick and take holidays but I think my care can be better than it is at the moment.

I get a rota every week but things change last minute and the carers coming to my house change. I had 7 carers in 1 week. I don’t have a shower every morning although I would like to because I won’t have a shower with strangers. I have already phoned to complain about this and they said they would do something, but it hasn’t improved.

I chat with my friends who also use ILS and they don’t have the same problems I do. They have ‘back to back’ carers; the same 2 girls provide their care and when they have days off my friends also know the girls who cover. This means I know it’s possible for my care to be better.
