"Day case Ambulatory ward"

About: Queen Elizabeth Hospital (Gateshead)

Excellent care could not fault apart from minor issues which were quickly addressed or information sought.

The staff are excellent who have social skills, from consultants to Healthcare assistants including receptionist at the ward, all of which puts the patient at ease. They are human and caring.

Only one healthcare assistant let the whole department down. Responding to one bed adjustment request with contempt, pulling back curtains without asking, not introducing themself and general poor demeanour.

Proud to have so much care at my doorstep by wonderful people.

Thank you for getting in touch and we're pleased to hear that your visit was successful. We've passed on your concerns about the healthcare assistant to the ambulatory care team who will look at this and remind staff of their responsibilities. Thank you for helping us improve what is already a very successful new team within the QE.
