"Maternity care/a&e visits"

About: Whipps Cross University Hospital

I gave birth to my son here and the midwifery team were fantastic, I couldn't have asked for more support. My one complaint would be that I was left alone on a ward from the beginning of my labour until I was ready to push in the morning after visiting times had begun again, and I would've really appreciated having my husband there at that point - silly visiting rules!

I have also had great a&e care here (a suspected mini-stroke, but was thankfully a hemiplegic migraine). The care was thorough and I got the all-clear after a CT scan.

Response from Whipps Cross University Hospital

Dear Helen

Congratulations on the birth of your son. We hope that you are settling in well.

Thank you for your lovely review on our maternity and A&E Services, and also for awarding us with five stars! Your comments have been shared with both teams as they will love to hear them. We have highlighted your concerns around being left and visiting times to the maternity team. We apologise for this.

Wishing you all the best Barts Health NHS Trust
