"My young daughters after surgery care"

My young daughter had brain surgery on the 3rd of July. On the first night after being on the Picu ward she was put into bed seven on the Purple Bay on the Nichols ward. She had a nasty insensitive night nurse assigned to her care. Thank god I was with my daughter, because the callous attitude was awful.

Also why would you put a patient who had just been through a five hour operation on her scull and brain with a screaming baby.

My daughters surgeon was wonderful and most of the staff that we came across were five star, but sadly it's always the likes as mentioned above that stick in your memory.

Finally my daughter is still in considerable pain and her surgeon whom has been wonderful told my daughter to contact them any time, but whenever she has attempted to make contact she is met by the most unhelpful PA, my daughter has only rang twice so has not exactly been a nuisance, but at best the PA makes her feel like a nuisance and at worst she feels like they are ignoring her and not listening to anything she says and just talks over her.
