"Exemplary care"

About: Perth Royal Infirmary / Gynaecology Perth Royal Infirmary / Trauma & orthopaedics

(as the patient),

A week or so ago, I phoned our local GP surgery just after 8am, and was given an appointment to see a GP at 1020. After an examination the GP decided to send me for an x-ray.

The GP sent off an e-mail and I drove to Perth Royal Infirmary (PRI). I was seen within minutes of arriving and was back at work before lunch time. Who could complain about that?

Some time ago my wife was an in-patient at the ladies department of PRI. The treatment she received, medical, surgical, nursing and pastoral was exemplary, You have got to wonder how some places can get things so terribly wrong.

Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback on Patient Opinion. I am delighted to hear that you and your wife have had such a positive experience of our service. I will certainly ensure your feedback is shared. Our staff strive to provide the best care experience possible and, whilst we welcome the opportunity to learn when things go wrong, we also greatly appreciate receiving feedback when things have gone well as this enables us to share good practice.

Kind regards.

Alison Moss
