"I have to attend the hospital ..."

About: Addenbrooke's Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

I have to attend the hospital on a regular basis, attending numerous different departments and I can honestly say there is 1 doctor who is pleasant.

What could be improved

Disabled parking-with new multi-story we have to pay and travel distances to get to units. Being given the feeling you are wasting their time because they cannot put you as a cured rating. Waiting for hours sometimes for 5 minutes of doctors time, and as already stated feeling you are a nuisance to them.

Anything else?

It would be nice to feel priority to Addenbrookes as i am a local resident,i usually share crowded waiting rooms with people from Suffolk,Norfolk,Kent and beyond! Living in Cambridge with a number of disabilities and needing to live on very high doses of pain medication just to get through the day in your 40s is difficult enough without dreading attending your local hospital on the next appointment date.

We were sorry to learn of your comments. Perhaps you could consider discussing this in more detail with the Patient Advice and Liaison Service who can be contacted via email - pals@addenbrookes.nhs.uk or telephone (01223) 216756. In response to the comment about the car park, there is now a courtesy bus, with wheelchair access, which collects patients from the main car park and then drops off at various points around the site.
