"Ver efficient and caring staff on the ward"

About: Tameside General Hospital

I was a bit disappointed I was sent home with a cannula in my arm and I knocked it off while removing my jacket causing lots of blood to come out maybe because I am on aspirin I felt this was a breach of regulations and could have caused me injury by one nurse in recepton area ward at a and e

The other staff were truly amazing and the doctor could not help me enough

The technician in X-ray was sunny and kind and eased my phobias

The little voluntary tea and biscuit person was also lovely

Just one little thing would not put me off giving a good review for all other staff

I think the nurse who did this to me this morning did not follow listed procedures but it turned out ok

Thank you for taking the time to provide this feedback on your recent visit to the hospital. I would like to apologise for the cannula being left in your arm as this is not a standard of care we expect. If you would like to speak to someoen regarding your care, please contact Alice Baxter Head of Nursing for the Emergency Department on 0161 922 5199 or email Alice.Baxter@tgh.nhs.uk
