"Poor treatment"

About: Newquay Hospital

Came into Newquay A&E after getting a deep 3 inch by 1 inch cut on my leg, the time was around 7:35. Was informed that the skin was too tight to stitch and was bandaged up by the nurse and was sent home. I visited Falmouth A&E the next morning for a checkup inspection and was told I desperately needed stitches that night but as it was over 5 hours this was not possible. Long story short now after a month of seeing doctors and G.P's my leg is still weeping and swelling! Would have saved hours of NHS time and money if I had been dealt with correctly. Either the nurse was too in-experienced to see it needed stitches or she couldn't be bothered to correctly deal with it as it was nearly closing time (8Pm). My suggestion, if you feel in any way your injury has been under-looked by Newquay Minor Injuries go see another A&E as I have suffered from their lack of knowledge or poor attitude!
