"SVT Ablation - A Pleasure!"

I was at UHSM on Friday 6th November for a SVT Ablation procedure. I was obviously apprehensive at having the procedure but, from the moment I arrived all the way through to leaving the Cardiology Day Case Ward on F2, I was given superb reassurance and support by everyone.

In particular, I would like to thank the doctor and their team in surgery. They communicated excellently with me throughout the procedure and it was as 'pleasurable' as it could be!!!

It was heartening (no pun intended!!!), to hear the doctor 'coaching' the surgery team during my procedure - challenging them to what they were seeing, what they thought it was, what the next steps were etc... It was very apparent that they wanted to share their vast knowledge with the team.

It would be remiss of me not to say a special thank you to the nurse who looked after me for the majority of the time I was there. The nurse was caring, supportive, reassuring and built up excellent rapport - thank you.

In total I was 'attended to' by 13 members of staff during my time at the hospital. Every single one of them were a credit to the hospital - they were helpful, supportive and very, very professional. The teamwork demonstrated during my short stay was outstanding and the hospital should be proud of the whole team.

The most stressful part of the day was being driven home to Burnley by my wife - hope she doesn't see this review!!!

I would appreciate it if this feedback got back to the team as they thoroughly deserve it.
