Excellent experience form first clinic appointment to post-op discharge.
Very impressed with preparation for surgery clinic, ran like clockwork, volunteer Myra kept tabs on every one, made introductions and generally smoothed the flow of patents through.
Admission ward staff kind & helpful, although very tedious waiting from 7: 30 until went to theatre last@ 16: 15.
Theatre staff efficient & reassuring. Post op care on Dyball ward also excellent, even though some of my fellow 'residents' complained loudly & vociferously about everything I can honestly say the nurses were lovely, the OT & physios efficient and knowledgable, the food was good - not haut cuisine but sustaining & plenty of choice and the housekeeping staff worked hard to ensure the ward was clean and tidy. Only minor moan was waiting 5 hours for TTOs & discharge letter, even then the staff nurse kept us updated on his efforts to speed things up and checks that by the time everything was ready it was not too late for me to go home.
In summary PEOC is probably the best orthopaedic centre I. The world.
